TREDEGAR ACQUIRES ALUMINUM FABRICATOR

RICHMOND, Va., Nov. 21, 2003 – Tredegar Corporation (NYSE:TG) announced that its aluminum extrusions subsidiary, the William L. Bonnell Company, has acquired Apolo Tool and Die Manufacturing Inc. of Woodbridge, Ontario. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Apolo's key capabilities include bending, CNC machining, drilling, mitering, punching, riveting, sawing and welding of aluminium extrusions and other materials. The company also has in-house tool and die design and manufacturing capability to support its fabrication services. Tredegar said this acquisition demonstrates Bonnell's long-term strategic commitment to its customer base.

Tredegar's Bonnell subsidiary is a major producer of soft-alloy aluminum extrusions primarily for the building and construction, distribution, transportation, electrical and consumer durables markets. The company employs approximately 1,800 people at extrusion plants in Newnan, Ga.; Carthage, Tenn.; Kentland, Ind.; Aurora, Ontario; Pickering, Ontario; Richmond Hill, Ontario; and Ste-Thérèse, Québec. Bonnell's 2002 sales totaled $360 million.
