RICHMOND, Va., April 24, 2003 – The shareholders of Tredegar Corporation (NYSE:TG) have elected Donald T. Cowles to serve on its board of directors. Mr. Cowles is a former senior vice president, construction and distribution, for Reynolds Metals Company. He was also president of Reynolds Aluminum Supply Company. Currently, he serves as a consultant to various organizations.

Tredegar now has 11 people serving on its board of directors.
