RICHMOND, Va., April 28, 2005 – The shareholders of Tredegar Corporation (NYSE:TG) elected Horst R. Adam to its board of directors at the company’s annual meeting today. Mr. Adam, 61, most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Xoft microTube, Inc., a developer of miniature x-ray tubes used for cancer therapy based in Fremont, Calif. Other prior experience includes a variety of management positions primarily with therapeutic medical device companies.

Tredegar shareholders also reelected Norman A. Scher, Tredegar’s president and chief executive officer, and R. Gregory Williams, president of CCA Financial Services, LLC, to the board.

Tredegar now has nine people serving on its board of directors.

Based in Richmond, Va., Tredegar Corporation is a global manufacturer of plastic films and aluminum extrusions. Tredegar is also developing and marketing bone graft substitutes through its Therics subsidiary.
